It's official - a boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will happen after much speculation. The undefeated boxer and UFC lightweight champion will go head-to-head on August 26th in Las Vegas, according to Yahoo Sports.
A source tells Yahoo that Mayweather will make an official announcement sometime today on social media. Both camps have remained silent so far.
The fight will take place either at the MGM Grand Garden Arena or the T-Mobile Arena. The Nevada Athletic Commission has already approved a request to hold a fight MGM Grand on Aug. 26. The request was made by Mayweather Promotions.
